The Cost
The desert adventure is one of the best routes in Mexico because this type of climate and terrain
conditions are not found in many places in the country or in the world, for this reason it is a tourist
attraction par excellence. It draws a lot of attention to all the flora and fauna that this
environment offers, entering it we can be surprised with the color and strange forms of its plants,
the silence that is perceived and the desolation of the terrain help us to enjoy more of the
experience that we gives the desert environment. When you start pedaling you can feel that it is
something simple to go around but after the hours you realize that the temperature of more than
40 ° C and the dryness of the environment begin to feel in the body, here the challenge is not the

that makes you better observe yourself and get to know your body better in an extreme
environment like this. It is an endurance cycling lesson in which the good views do not end but
concentration and mental strength are what lead you to complete this desert route. You can do it
as long as you want, it goes from a couple of days to a full week of pedaling, there is enough
desert to cross part of the state of San Luis Potosí until you reach Zacatecas. There is also a desert
route in the state of Puebla, but its route is done in a single day, San Luis offers very large plains
passing through wind farms, desert towns in the style of the old west and forgotten places where
there is no electricity, telephone or internet. Places that force us more to connect with ourselves
and the environment, and lead us to disconnect a bit from the modern world. Dare to live the
